Treadmill Dumbells Interval Workout

I am a big believer in interval workouts . Not only do they keep the intensity high, it makes it much easier to get through each fitness move. I mean, you could do ANYTHING if its just one minute right?!?

In this workout, you alternate between one minute sprints, and one minute of weights with a 5 minute hill climb at the end. Get ready to SWEAT!

Tip: To transition from the Treadmill to weight training, decrease your speed to 2.5 MPH to allow you to safely leave your treadmill!

You will need:

  • A set of dumbells (challenging weight)
  • A treadmill

The Workout:

  • 0-5 minutes: warm up on tradmill- 4.5 MPH
  • 5-10 minutes: easy paced jog-  6.5 MPH
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 7.0 MPH
  • BICEP CURLS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 7.5 MPH
  • PUSH UPS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 8.0 MPH
  • SHOULDER PRESS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 8.5 MPH
  • TRICEP EXTENSIONS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 9.0 MPH
  • TRICEP EXTENSIONS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 8.5 MPH
  • SHOULDER PRESS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 8.0 MPH
  • PUSH UPS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 7.5 MPH
  • BICEP CURLS: 1 minute
  • SPRINT: 1 minute- 7.0 MPH
  • Last 5 minutes: Grab the weights in your hand, set the treadmill for a grade of 13%, 3.0 MPH and walk it out
  • Cool down and stretch
